Phil

Hi, my name is Phil, and this is my wife, Michele . We’ve been customers of Blackstone Financial Management for more than 20 years, and our adviser is Chris Brennan.

Chris helped us when we had problems with our previous financial adviser. We were left with some challenges, but he resolved those challenges very much to our satisfaction and helped us meet our aspirations.

Michele

I got in touch with Blackstone via my husband because he was already a client of theirs when I met him. Initially, I needed help with my personal pension.

Phil

I heard about Blackstone Financial Management and Chris Brennan through a business colleague; he recommended them, and I contacted them.

Michele

I would say that I’ve had quite a lot of dealings, particularly in my professional role as a solicitor, with advisers. And with a number of them, I didn’t feel that comfortable, whereas I always felt very comfortable with Chris. The other thing about him, which I really like, is if he says he is going to do something, then he does it.

Phil

Over the years, Chris has helped us with a number of things. The business had a small self-administered scheme (SSAS). So that meant the business could borrow money from the pension scheme. It could include property in the pension scheme, which sounds very easy but it is quite complicated and messy. Chris guided us through it every time. We were pulling our hair out, but he stepped in and sorted things out.

Michele

I feel very confident about our financial future working with Chris. I feel that he has a very good understanding of Phil and myself about what we want to achieve and what’s important to us. He also has a good understanding of our family dynamics, which I think is important in our circumstances, as we are a second marriage.

Phil

I feel very assured and very confident that they’ve got our best interests at heart. They’re competent, efficient, and always available.

Michele

The three words I’d use to describe Chris are professional, efficient, and approachable.

I think the single best piece of advice Chris has given me is to continue investing in the pension even when it can be very tempting not to invest.

Michele

One of the things I like about working with Blackstone is that if I have a question, they will always answer it, and if they don’t know the answer straight away, they’ll investigate, and I know they’ll come back to me with the information I’ve asked for.
