I retired and it was fairly obvious that my pension and my partner’s pension were in need of some professional advice. Our accountant had recommended Chris to us at this stage.

How has Chris Brennan helped you?

He advised with no pressure what we should do with our pensions and investments giving many alternatives that he felt were suitable. In my case he identified a serious case of malpractice and resolved the issue to a most satisfactory conclusion. The work was difficult and I felt it was carried out at a very high professional level.

Very much so – the pensions and investments are working well for us and are kept under constant review with at least annual adjustments if necessary.

What were the circumstances that caused you to look for a financial adviser?

Originally retirement planning and long term investment advice. Anthony was contracted by my employers to supervise and advise employees about the company pension scheme and to assist with any pension related advice on an individual basis.

How has Anthony Ward helped you?

Recommended several methods by which taxation could be optimised, and transferring several pensions from previous employments into a single consolidated plan. I was impressed and engaged him to advise my wife and I on a private basis. He started with a full review and then recommended establishing a power of attorney by my daughter and a will, both of which were set up by my solicitor. She was impressed by the questions and briefing that Anthony had provided and our confidence in him grew. He was key to a private share sale, and placed monies into several accounts, some short term, instant access for CGT and income tax, others with long term. His estimate of tax liability was spot -on. He has also assisted with advice on car purchase.

It has exceeded, way above expectation, and we have felt protected throughout. So much so that I have recommended him to several trusted friends and colleagues, something that I would not do lightly given the risk associated with personal money. We hold regular reviews and change portfolio items based around performance projections.
